Our History

In 1928 a German plumber by the name of Frank Stark immigrated to the United States.  After working for various plumbing companies, he opened Stark Plumbing in 1940.  The company concentrated on residential plumbing for nearly twenty years.  Looking to diversify in 1961, Stark Plumbing joined the Local 59 Plumbers Union with the intention of growing the commerical construction side of the business.

By 1993, company president Mark Stark decided to further diversify our capabilities by merging with Nelson Excavation, forming The Nelson Stark Company.  We now average $30 million in annual sales split between plumbing, excavating and site utilities.
